Our journal The Use of English is for teachers of English in the Further and Secondary sectors.

Suggested Content
We seek contributions from both English practitioners and students of English. We publish vigorous, independent comment on theory, policy, and practice, creative contributions and reviews of important books on the teaching of the subject, of literacy criticism and of anthologies and editions.

The Detail

1. What’s the word limit
   Anything between 1,000 – 3,000 words. For any longer pieces we ask that you discuss this with us before writing.
2. What is the submission date?
   We ask for contributions to be submitted no later than Friday 16th October.
3. When will it be published?
   In our Autumn 2024 issue
