English Career Resources for Teachers
These career resources for use by English teachers in the UK were commissioned by the Training and Development Agency (TDA) and have been produced by the Council for Subject Associations (CfSA) in partnership with five subject associations.NATE (National Association of Teachers of English)

The resources have been developed with busy teachers in mind to help them introduce consideration of career planning into English lessons. To ensure fitness for purpose the resources meet the majority of learning outcomes within the national framework for Careers Education and Guidance (CEG) which was replaced by the new Statutory Guidance for Impartial Careers Education in 2009. The DCSF recently issued this statutory guidance to schools on impartial careers education to help schools ensure that young people are prepared to make informed decisions as they make the transition to adulthood. This is at the heart of the Government’s new IAG strategy Quality, Choice and Aspiration.
The resources offered here have been reviewed by practicing teachers and many have been trialled in schools. They are written specifically for use with Key Stage 3 and 4 students and offer a variety of approaches to introducing career-focused learning in the classroom.
